The Honorable Denise Tyler, Business Owner, Visionary, Community Activist, is a skilled professional with over 25 years of leadership experience in politics and the faith community. Denise has a unique approach to politics as she is a woman of faith who has intertwined her business knowledge and experience into the business of the church. She also worked diligently to dispel the myth within the black church on the separation of church and state. Denise commits her life to serve the community focusing on our youth and young adults and advocating for senior citizens. In 2010, she was elected to the Maryland Democratic Central Committee, serving eight years in a leadership capacity educating people on the importance of engaging and voting on the local level. Her compassion for enhancing the quality of life for our senior citizens and educating young people on preparing for aging led her to establish a nonprofit, Your Golden Years, Inc.!  With the same thought and to bridge the gap, engage and increase the vote of our young people, she ran for the Maryland House of Delegates in 2018. As an accomplished 30-year legislative staff person, she is credited with major achievements such as the passage of legislation for a senior tax reduction, starting the discussion on financial literacy, school uniforms in the local school system and increasing the percentage for minority business participation in the state of Maryland.
